Frequently asked questions

Everything about your day on the boat

What's the difference between the half day, the full day and the sunset?

The half day is around 4 hours to anchor in a cove and take a proper swim. The full day runs from 10:00 to 18:00 to hop between several coves without watching the clock. The sunset is an evening trip from 19:00 to 21:00, with the best light and a complimentary bottle of cava. On all three you book the whole boat for your group.

How much does it cost to charter a boat with skipper in Mallorca?

The half day costs €850, the full day €1,190 and the sunset trip €480. The price is for the whole boat, not per person: it costs the same whether you are 2 or 9. VAT, the professional skipper and fuel are included. The only per-person cost is the optional Mallorcan picnic (€25 per person).

Do I need a boating licence to charter the boat?

No. Every trip includes a professional skipper who handles the navigation, so nobody in your group needs a boating licence or previous experience.

Do I book the whole boat or share it with others?

Always the whole boat for your group, up to 9 guests plus the skipper. You will never share it with strangers — the day is just yours.

What route will we take during the trip?

The route can vary slightly depending on the sea conditions, but we usually sail to some of the prettiest coves and corners of the Bay of Palma. Before we set off we will talk you through the planned route, and we are happy to recommend the best spots to make the most of the day.

Where does the boat depart from?

All experiences depart from Club de Mar, Muelle Pelaires, in Palma de Mallorca. From there, we can start sailing around the Bay of Palma as soon as we leave the marina.

What should I bring?

We recommend bringing a swimsuit, towel, sun cream, sunglasses and a cap or hat. You can also bring a light jacket for the way back, especially on sunset trips.

What's included in the Mallorcan picnic?

It is our only optional extra: a selection of typical island products, drinks included, to eat at anchor right in the cove. It costs €25 per person, VAT included, and you add it when you book only if you fancy it.

Can we bring our own food and drink?

Yes, of course. You are welcome to bring your own food and drink to enjoy on board during the experience.

Can I tailor the trip or celebrate something special?

Yes. With the tailored pack we put together stag and hen dos, proposals, birthdays or anniversaries: tell us what you have in mind and we build the trip around it. The price is tailored to your plan and your group.

Is there parking nearby?

Yes. A new car park recently opened at Club de Mar Palma, at around €2.80 per hour. There are other options nearby too: on Saturday afternoons and Sundays there is usually free parking in the Port of Palma area, while for the rest of the week most spaces are regulated by the ORA paid zone.

Do I have to leave a deposit?

No, we do not ask for a deposit. As the boat always sails with a professional skipper on board, you do not have to leave any security deposit or worry about handling the boat — just enjoy. On board, you simply follow the skipper’s instructions at all times.

What happens if the weather is bad?

Safety is always our priority. Trips go ahead whenever the state of the sea allows safe sailing: rain alone does not mean the booking is cancelled if the sea is in good condition. We only cancel when the sea conditions do not allow safe sailing and, in that case, you can choose between rescheduling your booking or receiving a full refund of the amount paid.
